About

Natasha Witherspoon is a dynamic cross-sector leader and visionary with a passion for philanthropy, performing arts, education, and cultures eamlessly integrating her diverse expertise to drive transformative, measurable impact. A devoted “mommy-preneur” to three sons. She blends conservatory-level musical training, executive corporate leadership, and nonprofit strategy to create innovative, results-driven solutions for organizations and communities.

Currently serving as Philanthropy Manager for Smithville Community Coalition, the largest intact African American neighborhood in Charlotte, NC, Natasha leads strategic resource development efforts that preserve history while advancing equitable investment and community sustainability. Her work centers on cultivating institutional partnerships, securing grant funding, strengthening donor engagement, and building long-term funding pipelines that honor legacy while positioning the community for generational growth.

She also serves as Philanthropic Strategist for HEARTS Collaborative, where she designs and implements comprehensive fundraising ecosystems that align mission, messaging, and measurable outcomes. In addition, Natasha is a Global Mentor for the AFP/Blackbaud Emerging Leaders Mentorship Program, supporting emerging leaders in strengthening ethical fundraising practices, leadership capacity, and strategic development strategy.

Natasha is also the Founder of the international nonprofit Moms Against Racism, serving families across the United States and Canada. Through this organization, she built and mobilized a cross-border membership network, creating spaces for advocacy, education, and community dialogue while advancing equity-centered initiatives that empower mothers and families to lead systemic change.

Her foundation as a classically trained opera singer uniquely shapes her philanthropic leadership. She studied voice at Mannes Conservatory under the esteemed Kamal Scott and the late Loretta DiFranco, cultivating vocal mastery, discipline, and artistic excellence. She toured internationally with Living Arts, performing in Latvia, Greece, Russia, Poland, and Finland; experiences that deepened her cultural fluency and strengthened her ability to connect authentically across diverse audiences. The rigor of operatic training breath control, interpretation, collaboration, emotional intelligence, and resilience now informs her executive presence, donor cultivation style, and ability to navigate high-level philanthropic environments with confidence and grace.
